Yell headquarters, Reading
Appointed in 2007, Broadway Malyan was asked to consolidate
the various Yell sites throughout the Thames
Valley into a central headquarters near
the Reading rail
station. Yell HQ fills eight floors of the new ten storey One Reading Central
building.
The design encourages movement and interaction between staff
members, with clear sight-lines through the open plan space and the creation of
small “neighbourhoods” at focal points throughout each floor.
There is a variety of meeting and breakout areas from quiet
zones to one-to-one rooms to presentation rooms, each space supported by
careful furniture selection.
The open plan meeting areas use hm86 chairs with special
hm85 dining tables. There are four colour coded meeting rooms that feature hm85
chairs and hm46 sofas that were adapted to include power and data units in the
arms.
