Creating inspiring spaces through collaboration.

The refurbishment of the music room at Eliot Bank Primary School in Lewisham, was a collaborative design process involving students and designers. Workshops and creative sessions informed the vision for the space, ensuring the final design reflected the needs of its users.

IA Architects developed the overall spatial vision, while Umbrella Furniture brought the scheme to life through a carefully curated mix of sourced, restored and donated furniture.

Guided by a “refresh, not replace” philosophy, the project prioritised and celebrated the value of reusing and reimagining what was already there rather than starting from scratch.

As part of this collaborative effort, we donated a selection of furniture. This included newly manufactured window seat pads, reupholstered hm51 stools and restored archival hm23 Irwin chairs. All upholstered in Hallingdal 65 fabric generously donated by Kvadrat Textiles.

Together, these pieces create a vibrant learning environment.
