Kazuko Okamoto

Biography

After graduating from Tokyo’s ICS College of Arts in 1998, Okamoto worked as a designer in Japan for ten years before moving to Europe. Having settled in Milan, she is now working as a freelance furniture and product designer with commissions from a number of high-profile international clients. The hm77 Cake modular seating system launched in 2010 and typifies Okamoto’s characteristically playful approach to furniture design.
